Hugh Stewart of Company G is my great great great great grandfather. Interesting fact about him. After mustering out he moved to Alabama and married Joe Wheeler’s first cousin. He is buried in Moulton, Alabama. I know a lot about his post-civil war life from relatives. As a History minor I can’t wait to get your book and dig deeper into his service in the 11th.

Hartons. of the 11th, company H. He died of a gunshot wound in a hospital near or at Port Gibson Mississippi on 01 May, 1863. I was wondering if you could tell me more about this company. I am so happy I found your website. Thank you.
