  1. Patty Murphy-Medlin says:

I came to see what I could find on my great great grandfather – Dennis Crowley from
Sevastopol, WI. I see him on your list (but his last name is spelled wrong). He died only five years after the war ened. I’ll have to keep searching your site to see if I can find anything else. 🙂

  2. B. Jenkinson says:

I was wondering if you had any letters from or containing info about Dewitt C. Benham – Co. I…anything would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

  3. Earl Sahr says:

My grandfather Zahr, Herman was listed in the Co. I roster. Is there any more info on him
or the Co. I? Thank you.

  4. Brandon Berlin says:

Thank you for posting this information. My ancestor is John M. Core. His descendants can be found at Ancestry.com at Berlin/Burden Ancestry (Lewis County, WA State)

  5. Ron Holland says:

I have three letters written by William H Cope during the Civil War and sister and tells of camp life and about the war. He mentions the name of William Walker who was in the same outfit. These letters are hand written on Union letter head paper.

  6. Ron Holland says:

I have three letters hand written by William H Cope to his father and sister telling of the war, camp life, and the areas he has visited. He tells his father not to worry about the farm and that he will be sending him some money soon. He mentions that William Walker yhas re-inlisted but that he (William Cope) has not as yet. He says the Rebs are pretty saucy , they come up to the pickets and holler at them and call them all sorts of names. Very interesting letters. I also have a framed photo of two soldiers in uniform, one who I believe is William H Cope.
