I came across your website with great interest. I have found some letters in the Scandinavian-language paper ‘Emigranten’ relating to the 11th Wisconsin signed by (A.M.K.) in 1861 and 1862. My best guess is that it is Arnold M. Koppel from Company K.

Do you by any chance know where he is from in Scandinavia (if he is) or if the person writing might be someone else. I would be happy to translate the letters to the newspaper for you if it would be of interest.

    All the best,

    Anders
