Civil War Veteran Ladder Badge

Pretty cool item that was up for auction some time ago on Ebay. The description at the time of auction, “This is a very nice named ladder badge for a soldier who served in B Company of the 11th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. The badge measures 1 1/2″ wide x 2 1/2″ tall overall, and reads ” E.S. Hunt – Co. B – 11th Wis. Vol. Inf. – 13 “. Most certainly, this is the man shown in the Civil War rosters as Edward S. Hunt, Company B., 11th Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers. A really scarce badge.” Hunt served from October 1864 to September 1865.
